Popular Post Nescent
A while ago I made a Triple-Barrel Gatling Gun. But that just wasn't enough. Presenting...the 36-Barrel Gatling Gun! Featuring six rotating stud launchers, ball-joint articulation for supreme firing precision, and a villager-operated hand-held interface, this machine is the only sure way to protect your Region from hordes of Skull Spiders. So what are you waiting for??? Pick yours up today! Fire all six launchers simultaneously by rotating that large black gear. Video Demonstration Warning: Will lose studs six times faster than your ordinary launcher. Edited September 22, 2015 by Black Six

Specter Knight
Oh my. Main armaments aside, I like the chair-support thing the villager can sit in. The stud colours clash a little, but that's the only downside I can think of. (Still not enough dakka, though...) 2 Quote (I'll do this eventually, I swear...) Nescent
The stud colours clash a little, but that's the only downside I can think of. (Still not enough dakka, though...)It just occurred to me that I could use three colors instead of all six, since the Protectors each came with 12 studs. Then the colors wouldn't clash at all. Maybe I'll make a 72-barrel gun if we get another round of stud launchers. Looks like fun. Though reloading it afterward would probably be considerably less so...You're quite right - about two seconds of launching fun...then two minutes of reloading.

TheOneVeyronian
This is pretty nice! May I ask - how smoothly does it operate? I tried making a compact 42 barrel gatling cannon (I put a gatling gun in the middle of mine also) myself not too long ago (with full intentions of hooking it up to a PF motor ) but I gave up after finishing it since some of the barrels wouldn't fire and the gear mechanism had so much friction it became less fun and more frustrating to turn, often getting stuck and not firring at all. Maybe I should try a bigger one of my own after seeing this - I certainly have enough gatling guns from buying loads of 75% off Protectors 1 Quote My Flickr - My Brickshelf - My DeviantART Latest MOC: Draphim the Dragonborn - Latest artwork: Mazzie Rati MOC Accolades: Mechan'Rex, Steel Guardian (BFTGM 2nd place on EB) - Skeletal Dragon (Featured on BZP) - Skull Imitator Corphos (Featured on Creator's Corner) - CCBS Chess (Featured on BZP) - Draphim the Dragonborn (Most faved MOC of mine on Flickr) - BOB WIP (featured on Flickr's Explore page - don't ask me why) If you see a creative topic from me, I'd appreciate a comment on it - it's how I learn and become better at what I do! I'd be surprised if a motor could operate it though, especially one with 42 barrels! If yours is jamming up, you might just have to secure the gears better. Mine are locked very strictly in place so they don't wobble and slip on one another. Edited July 23, 2015 by Nescent

Cirkitree
Oh man that looks fun!A few seconds of crazy firing it off at Skull Spiders and Villains galore, and then a few minutes of irritation picking up the pieces again.. but worth it, I'd imagine.I know the Okoto villager isn't orange, but seeing him(or her?) in the seat reminds me of a certain Onu-Matoran villager from way back when...

The Villagers wouldn't need the Toa to defend them if they had these on Okoto. And the fact that it has a seat for Villager to sit in makes it even better IMO. Nescent
Thanks for the comments everyone! Did not expect this old thing to see the front page. I'd imagine the more you added, the less workable it would become, because of more resistance and being farther from the center. You're definitely right about that; resistance was one of the things I had to overcome when I built this, compared to the 18-barrel gatling gun I built previously. In this case a rigid structure for the gears and a large enough trigger-cog was enough to make it work, but on something more complex I'll need a creative way to make so many gears work together. Imagine if this thing fired Zamor Spheres! I did make a huge Zamor Sphere gun a while back, just by adding a couple dozen Inika ammo clips to a Zamor Launcher. I think I'll share that here actually, it was a funny-looking MOC. Hook up some power functions to this thing and your'e good to go. I actually tried power functions with three launchers, and it fires so fast it looks like one shotgun sot. That sounds awesome! I wish I had a power function to work with.
