    Set Review: 70204 Worriz
ReviewThursday, October 10th, 2013 at 1:53pm by Andrew, BZPower News Manager

Who doesn't love constraction sets? Since you're here, I'm guessing not you. Forum Assistant Sisen sure thinks they're swell, which is why he has reviewed 70204 Worriz, the powered-up wolf from the Legends of Chima line. Is this set worth you making the effort to pick it up off a store shelf? Read on to find out!

    Presentation
From the design of the box to the instruction manual, these are the first things you see before building the set.

Waaaaawr. Worriz. Worry. Worrfy. The Chima Wolf Man is a fearsome sight to behold on the packaging, sporting his massive blade and spinning saw shield. With such a scary appearance it is no wonder the age range is recommended for six year olds and up. Who am I kidding there might still be nightmares involved.

    Building
Half the fun is had building the set. How fun is it to build and how easy or challenging is it?

    70204 Worriz Review 03

Putting together Mr. Fenrir is quite a risky task. One scratch, knick, or bite could likely leave you a lycanthrope. Wait no that is not the way it works. Building the set is fairly straightforward, everything minus the base black torso comes bagged ready to be torn open.

After building a few different Hero Factory sets the baseline construction of the new Chima sets are fairly similar. The joints snap in and you apply the armor. Worriz gets ample armor coverage though, and some nice add-ons that snap in place.

    Set Design
Now that the set is complete, we can critique how it looks from every angle. New or interesting pieces can also be examined here.

Worrfy has a nice robust design. The gray and red color scheme works together for a nice contrast. With frightening red eyes like his it is hard to not cower away. Overall the set design is solid. There is enough armor to cover his body.

The addition of the hand plates and claws makes a wonderful rendition of a wolf-like character. The design of the head mold for Worrfy is really detailed and nice. Overall the new pieces for his fur armor are astounding. There are a couple other new unique pieces in the set that are going to be useful for constructing different ways.

    Playability
The other half of the fun is in playing with the set. How well does the set function and is it enjoyable to play with?

There is a lot of playability with Worrfy despite his ill-mannered urge to constantly bite. It is hard to accurately describe and capture how playable the set is.

To me Worrfy seems like the type of fighter to hold his blade in a non-traditional position and strike differently.

I see the bad moon arising, I see trouble on the way.

I have claws! This sword is big and heavy.

    Final Thoughts
Once it's all said and done, how does the set stack up? Should I get it?

    Pros
    What's to like?

    • Decent color scheme.
    • Character design.
    • Use of pieces.
    • Maneuverability.
    • Lions... They're so delicious.

    Cons
    What's not to like?

    • Not a lot of new pieces.
    • Lack of fur. More armor attachments would have been nice.

    70204 Worriz Review 13 70204 Worriz Review 28

Worrfy is capable of honing his blade and keeping it polished in the wake of battle. Overall the Chima sets and Worriz particularly give a nice change of pace to the Hero type sets that have been delivered to the fanbase.

I hope you've enjoyed our review - hopefully there'll be more like it on the way soon. Be sure to thank Sisen in the Talkback as well as ask any questions you might have. Until next time, thanks for reading BZPower!Discuss This Story
