LEGO Minifigures Series 12 Now Available
It's been a long wait, but the wait is now over. LEGO reports on Twitter
that series 12 of the popular LEGO Minifigures theme is now available
for USD 3.99 the minifigure. You can choose once again from a variety of 16 minifigures, ranging from a joker (not evil, though, as I don't see Batman anywhere nearby), a pizza delivery guy, an old-school wizard and a rock star to the funny pig costume guy depicted on the left, and much more! Which ones will you get?
A BIONICLE Style Guide and More
BZPower member Torsti was an industrial design intern for three months at LEGO in 2007 and, among other things, designed the Tarix set from 2009. On his last day he was given a gift from the BIONICLE team
: a box including (but not limited to) a Style Guide in booklet and two CDs, a booklet and a VHS titled "A Brief History of BIONICLE" and another booklet containing a synopsis of the story up to the Bohrok-Kal saga. So far he's only posted photos of the synopsis but even that is already a fantastic treat for BIONICLE fans of the old days and there is no way you should miss it. He's going to keep us updated on the rest of the contents of his gift box, so stay tuned, it's definitely worth checking out!

Discover the Nindroids in Ninjago Mafia
Today is the last day of Ninjago Month, and what better way to send it off than spotlighting one of the entries from our Monster Contest? NINJAGO MAFIA: Masters of Spacejitzu
is a unique take on the traditional mafia game with a ninja twist. A bunch of Nindroids have blended in with the engineers at Borg Tower on the hundredth floor. Oh, and the floor as detached from the building and is in space. Will the engineers figure out who the droids are in time? You'll have to go follow the topic to find out!

It's nearly the end of Ninjago Month on BZPower, but we still have one final review for you. BZPower Reporter Xccj looks at 70725 Nindroid MechDragon, which was the most expensive set from the winter wave. It features five minifigures (two of which are exclusive), a cool car, and a mighty dragon. Is this a set to take to the skies for, or should it be sent back for scrap? Read on to find out.
Leaked Content Policy Reminder
I thought now was a good time for another reminder of the BZPower Leaked Content Policy
. Specifically of interest is the part that states: "If the images or information were not officially released by LEGO or a reliable source, they cannot be posted on BZPower. Discussion of new sets and other information can wait until they are officially announced by LEGO or through its partners." Please do not post or discuss any leaked images on BZPower. If you see someone else do so, please report the post so the staff can remove it. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Three Tribes of Mixels by Rahkshi Lalonde
If you still don't know what Mixels are it's getting harder and harder to miss it as there seems to be an entire MOCer subculture building around them. BZPower member Rahkshi Lalonde has had a try at creating his own three tribes of Mixels
: the squishy pink Squrmisites, the blue Plumbernauts and the Branch Bunch, all three complete with their corresponding Mixel MAX. What Mixel tribes are YOU going to create next? While you get building, don't forget to give Rahkshi Lalonde your feedback for his three unique tribes!

Three WMKK for Sale or Trade
If you feel like owning a bit of Bionicle history as it returns with new legends, then Mask collector's topic
in Buy/Sell/Trade is the place to go. There he has three White Metal Krana Kal available to buy or trade. These rarities come from the 2003 Bohrok Kal sets, and only 5,000 were made and randomly put in sets. Check out the topic
to make an offer on obtaining one of these collectible gems.

The preliminary round has wrapped up and now it's time for the final round of voting in the September 2014 Flickr Contest. Head on over to the poll
and pick your favorite of the seven finalists. You have until Monday, September 29th at 11:59 PM Eastern, so take your time and choose wisely - there's an awesome prize on the line. May the best MOC win!
Chima Fireworks Coming to LEGOLand Windsor
As Brick Fanatics reports
, LEGOLand Windsor will be celebrating the Halloween season in style. Their traditional fireworks display will be LEGO Legends of Chima themed, focusing on the Fire and Ice motif of the second-half sets. There will also be Chima-related activities during the day including Masters of Flame fire juggling displays and CHIMA ice brick building workshops. You can find more information here
. It seems like a great excuse to go to LEGOLand if you're over in the UK!

BZPower Front Page Updates
The BZPower front page has remained unchanged for a number of years, and we on the staff are well aware it's in need for an update. While we work on an overhaul, we thought we could ease the wait by making some small tweaks in the meantime. As you can no doubt see, (hopefully) all of the outdated and broken links have been removed, and we've made links to BZPower's presence on various social media sites more prevalent. Let us know what you think in the Talkback, and thanks for your patience while we plan and work on something even cooler! (Which, before you ask, will be done when it's done, and not a moment sooner.)
LEGO Set Makes Toys 'R' Us Top Toy List
Toys 'R' Us has posted their 2014 Hot Toy List
, also called the Fabulous 15. On the list is LEGO Fusion Town Master, which we reviewed here
last month. It's great to see LEGO recognized for creating a new and innovative product.

Mask of Creation Prototypes and Concept Art
LEGO has just released some really cool prototype pictures and concept art for the Mask of Creation on their Facebook page
and on Google+
. Not only does it have a ton of potential for speculation about the story (what could those backgrounds mean? Who is wearing the mask?) but they also give us a glimpse at the new head piece BIONICLE sets will most likely get next year. Check it out!
The Legend Continues Tomorrow
Make sure you get up early tomorrow, because another new episode of LEGO Legends of Chima
will be airing on Cartoon Network. Our heroes now know how the ice tribes are sneaking around Chima, but the question remains of how they're going to fight back. And what is going on in Sir Fangar's secret lair? The Snowball Effect airs at 7:30 AM Eastern, but you should check your listings
to see when it starts in your area. Hopefully it doesn't roll downhill and go out of control!
Vote in the Ninjago Contest Final Poll
We've narrowed the competition down to seven finalists, but there can be only one winner! Go check out the Ninjas IN SPACE: Grand Final Poll!
to pick your favorite Ninjago creation. The poll closes on Sunday, September 28th at 11:59 PM Eastern, so take your time in looking through everything before you vote. Good luck to everyone who made it!
Thursday, September 25, 2014
Today we take a quick break from Ninjago Month
to bring you a review of a licensed set. BZPower Forum Assistant Zatth has decided to share his thoughts on 76019 Starblaster Showdown
from the LEGO Marvel Superheroes line of sets. Will you let this set back into your heart or is wanting it just some silly phase you're going through? You'll have to read and watch the review to find out!
Element System Added to Minifigures Online
The team behind LEGO Minifigures Online has recently posted an update
announcing that the Element System has been incorporated into the game. The five elements are Light, Nature, Magic, Shadow, and Tech, and every minifigure belongs to a particular element. As Bionicle fans, I'm sure we can all relate to the idea, and it's cool to see the team is adding new content and growing the game!
September Flickr Voting Live
It's time to go vote
in the September 2014 Flickr Contest! The preliminary polls are going on right now and run until September 27th at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. There's seventeen great entries, but only six will make it to the final poll and one will be the winner. It's up to you to help decide who that will be. So go vote for your favorite MOCs!
Wednesday, September 24, 2014
is slowly winding down, but we still have more information to share! Today Forum Assistant Sisen takes a look at 70726 Destructoid, General Cryptor's command vehicle. Will it slice and dice its way into your heart (right through the ribcage?!) or will it sit unused next to your Slap Chop? More importantly, will you win a copy of this set yourself? Read and watch our review to find out!
Anvil Hornet Reaches Goal on Ideas
Over on LEGO Ideas a new project has reached its goal of ten thousands supporting votes. The F7A Hornet
by nosmigon is based on the Anvil Aerospace F7A Hornet from the videogame Star Citizen. Having had a chance to pilot the ship in-game, I can say this is a pretty accurate representation and it looks like it would be a fun build to boot. It will be a part of the third review session in 2014, and considering the publicity Star Citizen has received in the gaming world, it might even have a shot. I wish it the best of luck!

Go Vote in the Ninjago Monster Contest
The entry period has wrapped up, and now it's time to head over to the voting forum

You have until Thursday, September 25th at 11:59 PM Eastern to vote for your favorite comic, game, story, song, MOC, and piece of art. Then there will be a final poll to determine the overall winner, so get over there and get voting!
Toa Lewa - Master of the Le-Koro Jungle
Bionicle is coming back in 2015, and perhaps with it we'll see the return of the original Toa. But they're too late, because DeeVee is well underway with his own take on the classic favorites! After his awesome Onua, he's followed it up with Lewa, Toa of Air
. Pat's take gives him some rather simian-like proportions, which fit the character very well. He did his best to use the classic lime and green colors to evoke our memories of 2001. I look forward to seeing him continue his tribute to the Toa Mata as we get closer to the return of our favorite line!
BIONICLE Website Officially Released
Again, don't get your hopes up - the new BIONICLE website has now been officially released and is accessible from the bottom of the LEGO.com Products section or on lego.com/bionicle
(entering BIONICLE.com doesn't seem to work yet). Notably it looks a bit different from the site we uncovered
a few days ago, however, in terms of content there isn't more to see - that may change this Friday
, though, so stay tuned! It's obvious things are happening behind the scenes so it's only a matter of time before we're presented with flashy new content.

New BIONICLE Teaser Coming on Friday
The BIONICLE Facebook page has been updated
with both a confirmation that more will indeed be revealed at NYCC in October and with a promise that "a small thing" will be revealed on Friday, most likely either on the Facebook page or on BIONICLE.com, I'd assume. What do you expect this will be? A set picture? A promotional picture showing next year's location or next year's villains? Stay tuned!
The Future Looks Bright From Turaga Beach
Shadows of the Past Catch Rays of the Future on Turaga Beach
. Such is the text on the latest Faber File
(in classic Matoran lettering as if it wasn't good enough already) depicting a small Turaga-like figure standing on a beach with a staff whose top shows the symbol of the Three Virtues. Is this a preview for 2015? The bottom left corner of the image dates it on this year, so that seems likely. Does this hint at a continuation of the story? The excitement is barely containable!
- The Future May Look Bright From Turaga Beach but It's Not Canon
Well, I guess we got excited too quickly. As Christian Faber says in his blog: "I just want to point out that I NEVER post any official or current or coming story or material on this site. This is to be considered as a piece of fan fiction. NOT OFFICIAL, NOT CANON, just a comment to the great news of Bionicle returning seen from a 2001 point of view. Turaga beach is a metaphor for the place where all the old fans see the news. They have great knowledge but can't predict the future". On the plus side, it seems Faber actually reads the BZPower news! It's still really cool to look at and sets the mood right for the return of BIONICLE. -- Adrian From Christian Faber

Bug-Eyed Aptera Stares You Down
Member Brickeens admits that he has taken a two year absence from the MOCing scene, but his recent creation Aptera
shows that he is back in full-swing as the Bionicle resurgence news
reaches new hype levels. While the MOC lacks a backstory, which I imagine involves an alien bug-jungle tribe and maybe the Galaxy Squad, it is not without character. The head stands out especially, but the way the armored legs contrast with the lanky yet clawed arms is also worth noting, along with lime green on the black figure. Check it out

BIONICLE Books to Return Next Year?
Former BIONICLE comic and book author Greg Farshtey has stated
in the "Chat with Greg Farshtey" topic in the LEGO Message Boards that "[his] understanding is there will be books at some point next year, but [he does] not know if a writer has been selected for them yet." BIONICLE books were the main medium of storytelling from 2004 to 2008 and it's interesting to see them return despite declining sales in the end, but whether they tell the main plot or just side stories as well as who's going to write them remain to be seen. Still, BIONICLE's return is getting more exciting with every reveal!
Free Chima Polybag at TRU
From now through next Saturday, September 27th, Toys 'R' Us is offering a free polybag with any LEGO purchase of $40 or more. You can get yourself a copy of the LEGO Legends of Chima Sykor's Ice Cruiser, which is the only way to get the Sykor minifig, as well as some nice trans-light blue parts. If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, head over to your local TRU soon before they run out!

BIONICLE Website Found
Don't get your hopes up, there isn't much at all to see yet but what there is to see is still pretty nice anyway. BZPower member TBK reports that for a short time frame, a new BIONICLE website was accessible through http://www.lego.com/en-us/bionicle. That link doesn't work anymore but the website still works here
. It's really just a new picture of the Mask of Creation so far but it's nice to see that everyone's favorite website (after BZPower of course ;)) is so close to making its comeback.
Friday, September 19, 2014
You've heard the rumors, you've seen the leaks, but now it's official: BIONICLE IS BACK! LEGO is officially announcing the return of Bionicle today along with some details about the Mask of Creation - yes you read that right. More information will be revealed at New York Comic Con, but you can read on to see what they've said so far. I am now officially pumped! I think it's safe to say, if you can find a way to get to New York City on October 9th, you should do your best to do so!
We're live now! Head over to YouTube
or read on to watch!
Mask of Creation Video
In addition to the blurb we posted, LEGO has also tweeted
a link to a video of the Mask of Creation
! Also, make sure you check out the official LEGO Bionicle Facebook page
and the post on Google+
. Today is a pretty awesome day to be a Bionicle fan!
New Chima Episode Airing Tomorrow
Tomorrow morning we'll get to watch the next episode of the LEGO Legends of Chima TV show
on Cartoon Network. Set you're alarms for early, since 'Cool and Collected' begins at 7:30 AM Eastern/6:30 AM Central. Check out Cartoon Network's schedule
to verify when it's on for you. Last week our heroes managed to hold off the mammoths at the ice fortress while G'Loona and Flinx routed the saber-toothed tigers and vultures, keeping them from getting their CHI. Will they be so lucky again this week? We'll have to watch and see!

Just a reminder that tomorrow, September 19th, at 8:30 PM Eastern we'll be hosting a livestream as part of Ninjago Month. We'll be sharing our thoughts about the upcoming LEGO Ninjago movie, what we'd like to see, and how we think it should tie into the TV show. You can watch on both Google+
. Hope to see you there!
