Updated Astronomy Awards. Six More!

That's right, so many other people have made their own awards, I finally decided to do so myself. If you deserve any of them, comment here to say which you are taking, and feel free to take them, but if you don't deserve them, don't take them; it's as simple as that. These awards are fashioned after the comm badges on Star Trek Voyager. I call them Astronomy Awards, and they are full of win.

There are still more to come. I'd also like to know what you think of them. :D

Purple, Space, Aurora.

I'll work on Ring System and Great Red Spot while I'm outside tomorrow. ;)

The Northern Lights are awesome. I saw 'em once when they were visible down here.

While you're looking for Saturn, look a couple of degrees above and to the right of it to see the total Lunar Eclipse. I don't think you'll see Jupiter at all until early morning; between oh, say... 4 or 5 AM until sunrise.

Take all the awards you deserve. ^_^

...the eclipse is why I'm out there in the first place.

I really ought to actually research planet appearances. I'm more of a person to want to understand how it all works, rather than to know what's working right now (if that makes sense...).

BTW, I bought Universe the other day. Thanks for the recommendation.

Glad I could help! Isn't it by DK books, or something like that? Anyway, I hope you use it as much as I have. I wouldn't be half the astronomer I am today if it weren't for that book!

I have everything planned out to see the Lunar Eclipse tonight! I'll make sure to give you great pics since it's supposed to be pretty bad viewing where you live... You should make an award for seeing a Lunar Eclipse!

Yeah, good luck with the pictures, but if all goes according to plan, I'll be able to avoid the clouds.

I didn't even think about the fact that the moon was going to be close to Saturn last night (same ecliptic and all), and Luna was so bright today that I could only see three starts in Leo (five with binoculars).

I'll get that Saturn next waning crescent!

Lol. Saturn's been the subject of many of my outdoor viewings.

Got it. Saturnus complements Leo very nicely in that position. Now for Iuppiter.

It sure does, doesn't it? Jupiter will be a big challenge right now, but as summer nears, it'll get easier to see.

Red, green, yellow, orange & dark green.

Have I gotten your blog seal of approval?

I can't remember.

Otherwise, yeah, all of those are yours.

Yeah, someone got the gold one once, and actually I was in the process of adding a few more. Could be updated by the end of next week.
