A guessing game, more precisely.

I'm thinking of a four-lettered word that can be spelled phonetically with two letters as well.

 

First one to say it (using the Latin Alphabet) wins a prize of the jump-out-at-you variety.

Hint: It's a two syllable word.

...That's the alphabet you're writing in.

All I can think of is aa, the type of lava, but as far as I know it's always just two letters...

 

Nope.

 

I'll give you a hint, though; said "two letter" spelling is not done with the Latin Alphabet.
