Early Dismissal And Snow Day
So, yesterday I was sitting in Studio Art, drawing colored spheres, when the school speaker thing beeped. An announcement came on: "Due to inclement weather, school will be dismissed early." Then it paused for a few seconds, and then, "Please stop cheering so you can hear the rest of the announcement..."
So we went home at eleven, and there was much rejoicing. At the time it was raining. Several inches of snow were predicted, so I thought it was reasonable for them to have an early dismissal. So I got home and waited.
And waited.
But there was barely any snow at all, which didn't stick, and a little hail. Meteorologists.
So a friend came over and we did things and such until about 7.
And then we were like "ohyeahhomework."
So we quickly did an online part of a lab on evolution using finches, but I still had a bunch of homework that I only might have been able to finish in school or with a 2-hour delay.
And then I woke up really early this morning, and I was afraid to look outside. I went half back to sleep, then after an unnaturally long time, my brother came in and jumped onto my bed and told me it was a snow day.
